We are aware that the Paypal payment gateway is occasionally displaying an error message when you try to pay. If this happens to you, drop us a line straight away. We will have a record of what you were trying to order and will arrange payment separately.

Delivery & International

How quickly do you despatch my order?

We despatch your order as quickly as possible, to ensure you get your hands on that lovely fabric ASAP. Please bear in mind all your fabric is ironed and neatly packaged for you, we take time to ensure your delivery is correct. Despatch is normally within a maximum of 48 hours. If you have a rush order and would like immediate despatch and first class postage, please get in touch, we're more than happy to help with emergencies (and let's face it, fabric is an emergency!).

You will receive a confirmation of despatch email as soon as we make the trip to the Post Office. Please check your ‘junk mail’ folder in case the email is in there.

How is postage calculated?

The best way to calculate postage is by weight. There is a funky widget built into this website to calculate the postage based on your combined purchases. Orders over the value of £60 (excluding postage) are sent free of charge. This only applies to UK addresses.

UK Postage

Emma’s Fabric Studio use Royal Mail second class recorded delivery for most orders. Royal Mail estimate delivery for second class items as taking 3 working days.

Occasionally, for particularly large orders, we will use a Courier service who have a similar timescale for delivery as the second class recorded Royal Mail service.

I don’t live in the UK, can I place an order?

Yes, the website is built to calculate postage across Europe. If you are in Europe and order fabric over the value of £100, the website will not accept your order. Please contact us so that we can obtain a personalised postal quote. We need to ensure your package is properly insured, as we do in the UK.

We do accept orders from countries outside Europe (we regularly send all over the world), but from experience, we will need to find the most suitable and cost effective method to get your fabric to you.  Please contact us with details of what you'd like to order and we will get straight back to you.

Please note that any Customs charges/taxes that require payment in your country are your responsibility. Emma’s Fabric Studio cannot be held accountable for delays due to Customs clearance in your country. We are not able to mark packages as ‘gifts’ in order to avoid Customs charges/taxes, the true value will be marked on the declaration form when we post your item(s).

Can I track my order?

All UK items are sent via recorded delivery, requiring a signature upon receipt. Whilst this is not a trackable service, it does enable us to see if your package is still within the Royal Mail system, whether it is at the Sorting Office or if it has been delivered and a signature obtained. A reference number is provided to us when we post your item so we can provide you with this upon request.
